Vocal Modulation in Annual General Meetings and the Boardroom

The role of sound has received little attention in the empirical finance literature. In this talk, we will share the latest work in studying vocal modulation in corporate earnings conference calls. Do the moods of executives change at different times of the day? If so, do these changes reveal any implications to temporary stock mispricing?
