UWA RE-ENTRY POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (REFERENCE NUMBER 2883)
• 3 years full-time or part-time equivalent • Salary Range: Level A $68,018 - $70,424 p.a. (full-time) • Closing date: By 5pm Friday, 23 October 2009
A Fellowship will be offered to support research undertaken independently, or in collaboration with a research team in any school of the University, by a person whose career has been interrupted by family responsibilities including child-bearing or child-rearing. The aim of the Fellowship is to facilitate a return to an academic or research career where that career has been affected by family responsibilities.
A PhD or equivalent must have been classified as passed prior to making application to this scheme. The Selection Panel will have discretion to consider cases which do not fit this pattern precisely but might still constitute re-entry. Applicants must have permanent resident status in Australia or hold Australian citizenship. Applications must be endorsed, as detailed in the Guidelines and Conditions, by the Head of the relevant University school. Prospective applicants will need to contact the relevant school well before the closing date.
A Fellowship Support Grant of $6,000 per annum (or part-time pro rata) will be awarded for expenditure associated with the Fellowship. A relocation allowance is available to appointees in accordance with University policy. Conditions of appointment will be specified in any offer of appointment which may be made as a result of this advertisement.
