UWA Support for developing partnerships for ARC linkage projects

A focus on research of an international quality and the fostering of an outstanding research culture have positioned UWA as one of the best universities in Australia and in the top 150 in the world.

The Support for Developing Partnerships scheme has been introduced at UWA to specifically encourage high-quality ARC Linkage Project applications.

In its 2006-2008 Operational Priorities Plan (OPP) UWA identified the need to build closer relationships with industry and other potential partner organisations to encourage collaborative research supported by ARC Linkage-Project grants and contract research.

Applications

Applications may be submitted at any time, and amounts of up to $1,500 can be requested to support activities that will encourage and support research collaborations. This might include, but is not limited to, assistance with travel to meet and discuss the project with the potential partner organisation or support for a workshop or seminar.

Funds are only redeemable once an application has been submitted in the 2010 ARC Linkage-project grant round and only by providing a receipt for proof of eligible expenditure. On request, 50% of the funding can be provided upfront. Decisions on funding will be made the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) based on the information provided in the application.
