- UWA is an accredited organisation with the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR).
The Biosaftey Office at UWA provides information on working with biological hazards.
A major task we undertake is to assist researchers undertaking gene technology research to have their work considered by the UWA Biosafety Committee.
This office also annually inspects all certified laboratories with the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator.
We also provide information on the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service and the National Health Security Act and Regulations.
